A Taste of Improv

Our trademark free improv session.

Ever seen improv on TV, on the internet, or on stage, and wanted to give it a go? We’d love to see you at our free taster workshop.

It’s open to everyone, from the complete beginner onwards; those with prior experience are welcome too. We’ll lead you through fun games, from skill exercises that warm your brain to your favourite formats from stage and screen.

The workshop will be led by one of the regular Say Something performers (we’re friendly, promise!).

Improvisers after a Taste of Improv workshop

Improjam

An informal show/workshop hybrid.

Improjam is like a musical jam session but for improvised comedy. We’ll start with some warm-up exercises, then we go straight into “show games” like you might have seen on stage.

Unlike A Taste of Improv, there is no skill work or tuition, except for brief explanations of game rules when required. For most of the session, you are either providing the audience for your fellow improvisers or are performing yourself.

It’s recommended for those with at least a little improv experience (even one “A Taste of Improv” session). The only requirement to attend is that you perform at least once. If you prefer to come and watch that’s okay, as long as you get involved in the warm up, and act or appear as an “audience volunteer” in one scene.

So come and have fun jamming with a welcoming bunch of improvisers!

And did I mention that the best guest of the night will win an incredible prize?*

*It’s some jam.
